TOUCH A HEART – Compassion Without Borders
At EELIT Agency, we believe our responsibility extends far beyond providing exceptional domestic helper services in Singapore. Our philosophy is built on a foundation of care that begins in the home communities of our helpers. This commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was proudly put into action in June 2023, when our team, in close partnership with our trusted Indonesian training centre, conducted a meaningful charity drive in the heart of Cirebon, Indonesia. This initiative was a chance for us to give back to the community that is an integral part of our helper training ecosystem.
Our mission in Cirebon was to provide direct support to the most vulnerable members of society, reinforcing our belief that an ethical maid agency must care for the entire community network. We focused our efforts on two vital local institutions: a home for the elderly and an orphanage for children who have been abandoned or left without family support. By supporting these safe havens, we aim to contribute positively to the foundational environment that nurtures the individuals who may one day seek a better future through work in Singapore. This holistic approach is central to our ethical sourcing and operations.
The day was a deeply humbling and heartwarming experience for our entire team. Working hand-in-hand with our local partners, we organized the distribution of essential food supplies, including rice, cooking oil, and other staples, to ensure the nutritional needs of the residents were met. Alongside this, we provided monetary aid to help support the ongoing operational costs of both the old folks’ home and the children’s home. Witnessing the resilience of the elderly residents and the joyful spirits of the children was a powerful reminder of why community work is a cornerstone of the EELIT brand.
This outreach was made possible through a strong and respectful partnership. We are immensely grateful to our Indonesian training centre team for their collaboration and shared vision. Their local knowledge and dedication were instrumental in the success of this mission. It proves that when compassion knows no borders, the impact of collective kindness can create meaningful change. These initiatives reflect our unwavering commitment to being more than just a maid agency; we are a partner in building stronger communities.
